PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Pact Studios was engaged to expand and reenvision the future Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic in Gillette, Wyoming. The 40 exam room expansion was to serve the community by providing a multispecialty new level of care. The expansion clinic was several times its former size, with a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging Center, on site laboratory, retail DME and compounding pharmacy, and infusion center at the core of the expansion. The project brings a level of diagnostic capability rarely found outside major academic medical centers to rural northeast Wyoming.
The Imaging Center serves both the clinic’s internal diagnostic patients and referral imaging patients. The suite includes:
3-Tesla MRI scanner
0.5-Tesla MRI scanner
Nuclear Medicine
Two ultrasound suites
Mammography
Fluoroscopy
Radiography
Echocardiography
Vectra Whole Body Scanner
Housing two MRI systems of different field strengths, CT , and nuclear medicine within a single staffing suite required careful planning around staff visibility, patient access, shielding, and site access. The two suites share a consolidated control room with staff access to other imaging modalities without using public corridors. This was designed for efficient staffing and security, while maintaining a shared patient changing suite for prep and screening. Patient waiting and kiosk check-in are shared across the Imaging Center as a whole, streamlining arrival and intake for patients regardless of which modality they’re there for.
By dramatically expanding the clinic’s footprint by 40 exam rooms and centering that growth around a state of the art Diagnostic Imaging Center, Pact Studios positioned Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic to offer diagnostic services that are typically concentrated in large urban health systems, bringing that level of care directly to a community of roughly 32,000 people in northeast Wyoming.
